Long, open robe coat with petersham ribbon edging. All textiles sourced in California. Trim is from Japan.

Inspired by huipil and kimono construction technique, the coat is mid-calf length and features open underarm gusset detail. Slit cuffs can be turned up and cuffed or worn long. Back vent.

There are a few textile characteristics to consider!

Noble ecru- a deadstock heavy felted wool, soft to the touch and finished with tone on tone edging. This color is very curious to me! It's not quite yellow, not quite green. The name we've given it comes from a shade of duPont Corian. It has a civic quality which means you might blend in with utility boxes or water and power buildings.

Grey- deadstock heavy felted wool in a grey melange color. Very soft, yet durable! Dense and smooth felt. Grey trim on grey wool.

Natural with Palm Print- airy and lightweight boiled wool. One silk-screened panel of the Palm Print from spring/summer '13 on the back. This graphic is from a textile found by my parents in Bali in the '70s. I love the motion implied in the scene and the gentle carving technique. Graphic measures 14"x22". Finished with natural tone on tone edging.

Dark green cotton blend- deadstock Italian cotton blend. Nice weight and pliability. Less coat, more anorak. Finished with tone on tone edging.
